Nature of Employment:- Fixed Term – 2 years Contract [may be extended purely on the basis of incumbent’s performance, fund availability and organizational requirement]
Nature of Job:- The State M&E Manager is responsible for analysis of data, setting up MIS, review and evaluate the overall progress and impact of the project and providing regular reports in coordination with the State Project Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
The M&E Manager under this project will have the role in ensuring the deliverables as well reporting against the result matrix at the project level. Further, this individual will be responsible in supporting the district coordinators in setting up MIS systems for tracking the implementation of schemes and programmes directly related to prevent child marriage, empowerment of adolescents & ending violence against children. Specifically, the work will entail:
- Provide technical support to ActionAid Staff based in the district and state levels in implementing the project in Odisha towards implementation of the Strategic Plan for Children and Adolescents focusing on child protection priorities, in so far as providing support in:
- Provide support in preparation of district Specific Strategic Action Plan that supports programme including parenting to prevent child marriage, abuse & violence against children in coordination with the district administration.
- Support District stakeholders together with donor to inform and get commitment of the administration on the programme.
- Support District Task Forces in developing district specific MIS aligned to the District Work plan, Support DTF to establish mechanisms for collection of data from different line departments and support to consolidate the district MIS for district level sharing.
- Participate in Review and Reflection Meeting of district level work at the state level hosted by ActionAid Association.
- Provide required support in monitoring, review, and evaluation of the project progress and impact.
- Undertake timely monitoring visits to each district.
- Undertake other responsibilities not outlined above which are commensurate with a role of this nature.
- Provide handholding support on data and information management to the district coordinators, Manage data and information at the state level.
- Provide support to develop reports as per the requirement of the projects.
Reporting to:- Project Specialist
Travel:- Travel within the State (and outside as may be required)
Skills and Competencies:-
- The ideal candidate will be a Postgraduate in Social Sciences/Social Work or any other connected/relevant discipline.
- Prior knowledge about and relations with the state / district administration.
- have at least 5-8 years’ experience in coordination and liasing with state / district level officials and other key stake holders, project monitoring and evaluation, coordination/ networking around project related issues.
- have sound knowledge of macro/micro political economy and developmental issues relating to India.
- Should have experience in networking with state, national level civil society organisations and government agencies.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in Hindi & English.
- Gender sensitive and strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of the poor and disadvantaged groups.
- Should have good documentation skills and be proficient in basic computer applications like Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Willingness to undertake travel as per the project requirements.
Salary Offered:- Approx. –INR 8.54 Lakhs CTO (Cost to Organisation) per annum, or commensurate with work experience and qualification.
This will include PF, Group Medical Insurance with coverage as per organisational norms, Personal Accident Insurance. Gratuity payable as per norms of the organisation.
