Job Description
Job Title: Community Resource Person(9 posts)
Office/Location: SAKTI SIKHA DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY (SDS)
Project-Revival and Sustainable Intensification of Forgotten Food & Neglected Crops (Kuliana, Jashipur, and Bangiriposi Block in Mayurbhanj District)
Service Condition: Contractual
Period of Service: 1 year initially, extended to 4 more years
Essential Qualification: 10th Pass / Plus 2 (Arts/Science) with at least one year of work experience in any project.
Required Skills and Expertise:
1. Should be competent in data collection and have adequate knowledge of the identification of plants, crops, etc., within their locality.
2. Possess good communication skills with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
3. Should be flexible with working hours and comfortable with extensive village-level field exposure over long periods.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills in Odia.
5. Able to identify problems and propose solutions, generate new ideas and approaches.
6. Demonstrates strong influencing and facilitation skills.
7. Shares knowledge across the organisation and builds a culture of knowledge sharing and learning.
8. Proficient in operating smartphones, using Android applications, and collecting data through mobile devices.
9. Candidates residing in the same block or having prior work experience in the same block will be given preference.
Responsibilities:
1. Organise focus group discussions and village-level meetings to identify beneficiaries as per the approved plan.
2. Timely reporting of project activities and submission of the MPR, beneficiary lists, and other reports as per the formats developed under the scheme.
3. Assist senior technical members, DPMU staff, SPMU staff, and experts as and when required.
4. Support the conduct of trials of identified varieties as per instructions or supervision received from the DPMU/SPMU.
5. Maintain records and documentation of forgotten foods as per the developed formats and observe and record data from trials.
6. Actively participate in organising training sessions, exposure visits, awareness programmes, and similar activities.
7. Track daily activities and provide regular updates to the reporting authority.
8. Effectively communicate findings internally and apply learnings to work plans and activities.
9. Assist in daily project activities, covering both organisational and substantive matters.
