Position: Program Executive - Kamalanga
GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) is the corporate social responsibility arm of the GMR Group. It takes up activities with communities around the projects taken up by the Group. The thrust areas of its activities include: Education, Health, Hygiene and Sanitation, Empowerment and Livelihoods development.
GMRVF is looking for a suitable candidate based in thermal project site at Kamalanga in Dhenkanal district to look after CSR activities. This appointment would be on contractual basis for a period of one year, to be extended based on requirement and performance.
Job Description:
Essential competencies and Responsibilities:
• S/he should be able to build and manage the programs in the field
• Implementing farm and non-farm, craft based livelihoods and micro enterprise activities
• Develop an effective communication network and build strong relationships with community stakeholders, government line departments etc.
• Negotiate, convince and maintain good relations with the community
• Documentation and maintaining records
• Coordinate and prepare MIS and other reports
• Essentially pro-active and result-oriented
• S/he should demonstrate responsibility and reliability through actions in critical and challenging community situations.
• Lead an initiative and taking independent charge within the organizational policy framework
• Mentor a strong team of community volunteers at community level
• Develop and implement employee involvement activities
Qualifications & Experience:
• Master’s in Social Work any other relevant discipline, with about 3 to 5 years of experience in a reputed NGO or similar organizations.
• Ability to work in a team and excellent communication (written and verbal) in English, Hindi and Odia and Proficiency in Computer Knowledge are mandatory.
• Readiness to travel and undertake field programs is important.
• Having two-wheeler is must for field visits.
• Those who have worked with the same profile with exposure to livelihoods and community-based programs, and with understanding of local region will be preferred.
