Position Summary
We are seeking an innovative and dedicated Training and Curriculum Coordinator to design and ensure the quality of curriculum, training, and teaching-learning practices in our community-based education programmes. The role includes teacher capacity building (both internal and government), curriculum innovation, gap assessment, integration of life skills and behaviour development, and field mentoring. The ideal candidate will bring strong pedagogical expertise, creativity in content development, and proficiency in education technology tools.
Key Responsibilities
A. Curriculum Design & Innovation
- Develop and adapt curriculum and lesson plans aligned with NCF for Primary and Upper-Primary levels, suited to the needs of street-connected children.
- Ensure inclusion of life skills, behavioural development, and co-curricular learning (e.g., art, storytelling, sports) in the curriculum.
- Create a logical, age-appropriate learning framework with clear outcomes across literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, and socio-emotional growth.
- Introduce innovations in TLM (Teaching-Learning Materials) using locally available, low-cost, and digital tools.
- Incorporate virtual and blended learning methodologies, leveraging tools like ChatGPT, smart content platforms, and interactive resources.
B. Teaching-Learning Quality in Community Centers
- Monitor and support the quality of teaching-learning processes at community centers.
- Conduct learning gap assessments and customise lesson plans accordingly.
- Guide educators in differentiated and inclusive pedagogy for multi-level classrooms.
- Provide continuous feedback, hands-on mentoring, and demo classes as needed.
C. Training & Capacity Building
- Design and deliver structured training for: Ashayen’s educators, facilitators, and volunteers. Government school teachers, focusing on inclusive education and working with at-risk/street-connected children.
- Develop training modules covering pedagogy, classroom management, use of TLMs, life skills facilitation, and learning assessments.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously refine materials and delivery methods.
D. Monitoring & Data-Driven Planning
- Analyse student learning data, attendance, and engagement trends to inform teaching strategies.
- Support development and maintenance of child-wise learning databases.
- Document best practices, case studies, and model lesson plans for internal and external sharing.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.Ed. degree is mandatory or experience in similar job profile with equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum 2 year of experience in curriculum development or teaching for Primary/Upper-Primary levels.
- Strong pedagogical knowledge, with familiarity of NCF 2005 and NCF 2023 frameworks.
- Experience in designing training modules and delivering teacher training.
- Fluency in English writing and spoken communication.
- Sound knowledge of ChatGPT, MS Word, Excel, and digital platforms for education.
- Ability to analyse data, manage learning progress documentation, and work with MIS tools.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and field-coordination skills.
- Passion for working with marginalised communities and children with diverse needs.
Work Conditions

Remuneration :
Monthly consolidated remuneration will be 20000-22000 Rupees based on the qualification and experience. EPF deductions shall be applicable as per standard norms.
Travel Allowance will be applicable as per the existing policy of the organization.
