Job Description

1. Position Overview

The Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing motor and physical disabilities among beneficiaries and delivering appropriate physiotherapy interventions. The role includes providing one-on-one therapy sessions, developing individualized treatment plans, and training caregivers/family members for effective home-based care.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed assessments of motor, mobility, and physical disabilities in children/adults.
  • Develop personalized physiotherapy treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide regular physiotherapy sessions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
  • Train and guide caregivers and family members on home-based therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (doctors, special educators, social workers, etc.) for integrated care.
  • Participate in community outreach, awareness camps, or field visits if required.
  • Ensure safety, hygiene, and ethical standards during all therapy procedures.

3. Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration with the relevant state/national physiotherapy council.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in physiotherapy, preferably in disability care, rehabilitation, community health, or paediatric/adult therapy settings.
  • Freshers with strong skills and commitment may also apply (optional—edit as needed).

4. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong clinical knowledge of physiotherapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols.
  • Ability to assess physical disabilities accurately and plan effective interventions.
  • Good communication and training skills for guiding caregivers.
  • Empathy, patience, and ability to work with vulnerable groups.
  • Documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
